Reset Your Brother Machine
Select from the following reset functions:
• Machine Reset (ADS-1350W/ADS-1800W)
Reset all machine settings that you have changed.
Network settings are not affected by this reset.
• Network Reset (ADS-1350W/ADS-1800W)
Reset the network settings to the default factory settings (includes IP Address information).
• Address Book Reset (ADS-1800W)
Reset the Address Book to delete all existing contact information.
• All Settings Reset
Reset all the machine settings to the original factory defaults.
We strongly recommend performing this operation when you dispose of the machine.

1. Do one of the following:
• Windows
Launch
(Brother Utilities), and then click the drop-down list and select your model name (if not
already selected). Click Tools in the left navigation bar, and then click Remote Setup.
• Mac
In the Finder menu bar, click Go > Applications > Brother, select your model name, and then double-
click the Brother Remote Setup icon.
If the Search Devices dialog box appears, select your model name and then click Connect.
(ADS-1350W) If your machine is connected via a network, we recommend using Web Based Management
to configure the scan settings.
2. Click the Machine Info menu in the left navigation pane.
3. Click the Reset button for the settings you want to reset.
4. Click OK to close the Remote Setup window.
ADS-1800W
1. Press [Settings] > [Initial Setup] > [Reset].
2. Press the reset option you want to use.
3. Press [OK] for two seconds to restart the machine.
