Self-Maintenance Precautions

If maintenance is to be carried out by
the owner, be sure to follow the correct
steps specied in this section.
●
Note that improper and incomplete
maintenance will aect the good use
of the vehicle.
●
This section only lists instructions on
simple maintenance items that can be
done by the owner. However, there
are many items that must be done
by qualied technicians with special
tools.
●
Special care must be taken in
maintaining vehicles to prevent
accidental injuries. Make sure to obey
the followings:
CAUTION
●
If coolant overows, wipe it with
a dry cloth or tissue to prevent
damage to components or vehicle
paint and add coolant in time.
●
If brake uid overows, rinse it
with water to prevent damage to
components or vehicle paint.
●
Do not drive the vehicle with the
air lter removed; otherwise, the
engine is excessively worn.
●
When replacing wiper blades, do
not allow the wipers to scratch the
glass surface.
●
Before closing the bonnet, check
whether any tool or wipe cloth is
left in the engine compartment.
REMINDER
●
Do not smoke in or near the
vehicle to avoid sparks or open
ames that may cause re.
●
When working inside or under the
vehicle, always wear goggles to
protect your eyes against ying or
falling objects or splashing liquid.
●
As brake uid may damage
the skin or eyes, be careful
when lling it. If your skin
or eyes are exposed to brake
uid, immediately ush with
clean water. If you still feel
uncomfortable with your hands
or eyes, seek medical attention
immediately.
The following items should be checked
according to usage or specied mileage:

Coolant level: The radiator and
expansion tank should be checked at
each charge.
●
Windscreen washer uid - check the
amount of washer uid in the uid
reservoir once a month. If the washer
uid is frequently used due to bad
weather, increase the frequency of
checking.
●
Windscreen wiper - Check wiper
conditions monthly. If the wiper does
not work, check it for wear, cracking, or
other damage.
●
Brake uid level - check the uid level
at least once a month.
●
Brake pedal - Check whether the brake
pedal is operating properly.
●
EPB switch - Check whether the switch
is functional.
●
12V battery - check the battery
condition and terminal corrosion once
a month.
