Remove the CO
2
Canister from the Regulator
The following instructions describe how to safely remove the CO
2
canister from the regulator
assembly for replacement or shipping. Prior to handling the CO
2
canisters, read the Cautions and
Warnings section of this user guide.
CAUTION: If unsure that CO
2
canister is empty, eye and hand protection must be worn to protect
from release of freezing gas or liquid.
a. Remove the CO
2
regulator assembly from the simulator.
b. While holding the regulator assembly firmly, slowly unscrew the CO
2
canister from the regulator. There is a small relief hole in the side of the
regulator from which any remaining CO
2
will bleed. If this should happen,
no harm will be done to system, but it is rather noisy, and the rapid release
of CO
2
gas can freeze the canister’s surface and cause frostbite to
unprotected skin.
c. Continue unscrewing the canister until it is free from the assembly.
