Neurologic System Controls
The clinical features for the Neurologic system are controlled manually, through the software, or
both.
Note: With Convulsions enabled, the manikin’s eyes will remain open but on the Maestro run screen
the image of the eyes will be blinking.

Intracranial
Pressure
The intracranial pressure of a patient
can be an indicator of the patient’s
condition.
Tap Neuro and
tap ICP to adjust.
Set ICP setting
and onset time.

Eyes Eyes can be used as an indicator of a
patient’s condition and/or conscious-
ness during an assessment.
Tap Eyes on Run
screen and tap
desired status.
None required.
Convulsions Simulated convulsions can be
activated at the facilitator’s
discretion (Advanced).
Tap Neuro and
locate
Convulsions in
menu; use ON/
OFF toggle.
None required.
Temperature:
Body
Myocardial oxygen supply and
demand automatically influence the
cardiac rhythm, yielding response to
hypoxemia(Modeled only).
Tap Neuro and
tap Temperature:
Body to adjust.

Temperature:
Blood
Changes in arterial temperature may
alter the position of the standard
oxyhemoglobin dissociation curve
(shift). As temperature increases or
pH decreases, more oxygen is
released from hemoglobin and thus
the patient’s saturation decreases
(Modeled only).
Tap Neuro and
tap Temperature:
Blood to adjust.

Sternal Rub Pain response can be induced
through the software when
performing sternal rub (Advanced).
The manikin will say, “Ouch!”
Tap Neuro and
locate Sternal
Rub. Feature is
ON by default.
Can toggle to OFF
if no pain
response
preferred.
