Care and Maintenance
To drain the Antecubital and Dorsum of the left Hand IV sites:
1. Fill a syringe with air and push air into the antecubital prime port and the Dorsum port
until air exits from the drain port.
2. Ensure cap is on the antecubital IV prime port and the left hand port.
3. Connect a 50 ml syringe to the fluid drain port located at the manikin’s buttocks.
4. Draw back on the syringe to remove any fluids.
Step 3: Maintain IM Injection Site
If the simulation included use of IM injection equipment, perform the following steps prior to storing
the manikin:
1. Remove the pad from the injection site.
