Using Aria
Gastrointestinal System
Aria produces realistic bowel sounds. Auscultation of normal and abnormal bowel sounds can be
performed with the StethoSym utilizing the RFID tags. For further information, see Using the
StethoSym in this user guide.
Gastrostomy Feeding Tube Site Connection
Note: Feeding tube is not included.
Genitourinary System
Aria is configured for male and female genitalia, either of which allows for the insertion of a urinary
catheter. The genitourinary system also provides for the excretion of urine.
The simulator allows for the insertion of a 10 Fr 3 ml balloon urinary catheter.
The genitourinary (GU) system must be primed prior to use.
IMPORTANT: Use only clear distilled water or distilled water tinted with food coloring inside the
manikin. Administration of any other type of fluid is NOT supported and may damage the system.
