of the outlet tube. Ensure that the out-
let tube sealing area is undamaged.
Inspect air filter housing for cleanli-
ness.
Duckbill Valve Cleaning
Visually check and physically squeeze
the duckbill va lve. Make sure the valv e
is flexible and not inverted, damaged
or plugged.
Engine Air Filter Installation
Insert the filter carefully. Seat the filter
by hand, making certain it is inserted
complete ly into the air clean er hous-
ing. Apply pressure by hand at the
outer rim of the filter, not the flexible
center.
Secure air filter cover with latches.

CVT air filter inspection and cle aning
frequency should be adjusted accord-
ing to r id ing co nd itions as it is critical
to ensure proper engine performance
and life span.
CVT Air filter inspection and cle an ing
frequency must be increased for the
following severe riding condition
s:
– Riding on dry sand.
– Ridingondrydirtcoveredsurfac
es.
– Riding on dry gravel trails or similar
conditions.
– Riding in areas with high concentra-
tion of seeds or crop husks.
– Riding in severe snow conditions.
NOTE: Riding in a group in these con-
ditions would increase even more the
air filter replacement requirement.
CVT Air Filter Removal
1. Tilt cargo box.
2. Press the filter tabs to re le ase it.

CVT Air Filter Inspection and
Cleaning
1. Inspect filter and replace if dam-
aged.
2. Clean filter, using a solution of soft
soap and water, then rinse it.
3. Gently shake off excess water and
allow filter to dry at room tempera-
ture.
4. Clea n inside the CVT air inlet with a
vacuum cleaner.

Reinstall CVT air filter and and lower
cargo box.
NOTE: M ain taining a clean CVT air
filter will maximize air flow for an opti-
mum CVT components lifespan
