MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES

1. Oil filter cover
2. Water pump cover
3. Coolant drain plug
4. Disconnect the lower radiator hose
and drain the remaining coolant into
a suitable c ontainer.
NOTE: Take note of the position of the
hose clamp on the lower radiator hose
at the radiator.

1. Lower radiator hose t o disconnect
5. Drain cooling system completely.
6. Reinstall cooling system drain plug
and t ig hten to specific ation.
TIGHTENING TORQUE
Coolant drain

10 N•m ± 1 N•m
(89 l bf•in ±9lbf•in)
7. Reinstall radiator hose as noted prior
to removal.
TIGHTENING TORQUE
Radiator hose
clamp
3N•m ± 0.5N•m
(27 l bf•in ±4lbf•in)
8. Fill cooling system with coolant,
refer to
COOLING SYSTEM BLEED-
ING
procedure.
Cooling System Bleeding

1. Activate heater fan and put heating
level to maximum.

2. Remove the pressure cap.
3. Fill coolant sys tem un t il it is full up to
theMaxlineonthecoolantbottle.

4. Install pressure cap.
5. Run engine at idle with the pressure
cap ON until the cooling fan cycles
on for a second time.
6. Stop the engine and let it cool down.
