– Damage resulting from accident, submersion, fire, theft, vandalism or any act of
God;
– Operation with fuels, oils or lubricants wh ich are not suitable f or use with the
product (see the Operator’s Guide);
– Damages from rust, corrosion or exposure to the elements;
– Damage resulting from water or snow ingestion;
– Incidental or consequential damages, or damages of any kind including without
limitation towing, storage, telephone, rental, taxi, inconvenience, insurance
coverage, loan payments, loss of time, loss of income.
4) WARRANTY COVERAGE PERIOD
This limited warranty will be in effect from (1) the date of delivery to the first retail
consumer or (2) the date the product is first put into use, whichever occurs first and
for the following period:
– SIX (6) CONS E C UT IV E MONTHS, for private use or commercial u se owners.
– For emission-related components; please also refer to the
US EPA EMISSION-
RELATED WARRANTY
contained herein.
– For evaporative emission-related components of California models equipped
with evaporative emission control system produced by BRP for sale in t
he
State of California that are originally sold to a resident or subsequently warranty
registered to a resident in the State of California, please also refer to the
CAL-
IFORNIA EVAPORATIVE EMISSIONS CONTROL WARRANTY STATEM
ENT
contained herein.
The repair or replacement of parts or the performance of s
ervice under this war-
ranty does not extend the life of this warranty beyond its original expiration date.
5) CONDITIONS TO HAVE WARRANTY COVERAGE
This warranty coverage is available only if each of the following conditions has
been fulfilled:
– The 2018 Can-Am SSV must be purchased as new and unused by its first owner
from a Can-Am SSV dealer a uth orized to d istrib
ute Can-Am SSV's in the country
in which the sale occurred (“Can-Am SSV dealer”);
– The BRP specified pre-delivery inspection process must be completed and doc-
umented and signed by the purchaser;
– The 2018 Can-Am SSV must have undergone proper registration by an autho-
rized C an-Am SSV dealer;
– The 2018 Can-Am SSV must be purchase
d in the country in w hich the purchaser
resides;
– Routin e main te nance o utlin ed in the Ope rator’s Guid e must be timely per-
formed in order to maintain w arranty coverage. BRP reserves the right to make
warranty coverage contingent u
pon proof of proper maintenance.
BRP will not honor this limited warranty to any private use owner or commercial
use owner if one of the preced
ing conditions has not been met. Such limitations
are necessary in order to a llow BRP to preserve both the safety of its products,
and also that of its consumers and the general public.
