Loading the Cargo Box
NOTICE
When loading or unloading, do not exceed the maximum cargo ca-
pacity on tailgate. Always close tailgate before operating to reduce the risk of
loss of load.
Load cargo as low as possible – a higher load can raise the vehicle’s center of
gravity, w h ich can reduce stability. Position cargo toward the fron t and center o f
the cargo box and as evenly distributed as possible.
Secure the load to the tie down hooks inside cargo box. Use only the tie down
hooks on the bottom of the cargo box; do not secure cargo to the cage or other
part of the vehicle. If it is not properly secured, a load may slide or fall off, pos-
sibly striking occupants or bystanders; or it may shift during riding, affecting the
handling of the vehicle.
Objects that are higher th a n the walls of the ca rg o bed may affect visibility for the
driver and may act as projectiles in case of an accident. Loads that protrude side-
ways can get snagged or caught in bush, branches or other obstacles. Avoid cov-
ering and obstructing the brake lights with the cargo. Ensure no cargo protrudes
outside the bo x an d that ca rgo will not interfere with yo ur visibility or co ntro l o f the
vehicle.
Do not ov erloa d cargo box.
Close tailgate before operating.
WARNING
Never operate the vehicle with an open tailgate.
