Electrical Connection
The nameplate (Figure 2-2), located on the
upper rear of the right endframe, shows the
electrical requirements of the unit. All labor and
materials required to bring the electrical service
to the unit are a local responsibility.
All electrical wiring must comply with local
codes, and a qualified electrician should size the
wiring.
CAUTION
The incoming electric
power service must match
the specific electrical
requirements shown
on the nameplate.
If high or low voltage is suspected, check the
electrical service to determine the actual voltage
conditions. Improper or fluctuating voltage may
cause the safety systems to interrupt operation,
possibly damage the motors and other electrical
system components, and void the factory
warranty.
NOTE: A f u s e d , m a i n
disconnect switch (Figure 2-
13, A) is incorporated into the
electrical connection box. Check
local regulations to determine
whether a separate external fused
disconnect switch is also required.
Follow local codes at all times.
NOTE: The unit is available with
an Interconnected Stop Circuit.
If this circuit is not included, be
sure to follow the
Feeder
/Ironer
Interlock procedure at the end of
this section.
The unit has one of two different types of
electrical connection:
Single Point and Other Cable
Connections (Options)
Standard Wiring
Single Point Electrical Connection
(Option)
Locate the power cable at the right rear of
the unit (Figure 2-14, B).
Uncoil the cable and connect to the recep

tacle on the right front of the ironer (Figure
2-15, A). Twist the lock ring to make sure
the connection is secure.
