Digital Power Meter 66200 Series User’s Manual
Once the parameter is set, users can decide when to start the Inrush current measurement.
First, go to the AC Power display and use switch key to change to Is and press Enter/Trig, the
66202 Power Meter starts to test the Inrush current. The display shows dash lines
at this moment and the Is LED blinks to indicate the system is in Inrush
Current detecting mode. When the current exceeds the set trigger level, perform the
measurement according to the time set to be delayed and measured and the show the detected
maximum current in display.
Example 1:
Users can use the following setting to measure the Inrush current (1) in Figure 4-29.
Level: 1A
Delay: 0 ms
Time: 10 ms
From Figure 4-29 it can tell that the current exceeds the trigger current (1A) around 1.1ms
and since the time delayed is 0 second, the 66202 Power Meter starts to measure the Inrush
current and the maximum Inrush current can be measured is 12A approximately.

Example 2:
Users can use the following setting to measure the Inrush current (2) in Figure 4-30.
Level: 1A
Delay: 3 ms
Time: 10 ms
From Figure 4-30 it can tell that the current exceeds the trigger current (1A) around 1.1ms
and after delayed for 3ms second, the 66202 Power Meter starts to measure the Inrush current.
From the current curve it can see that the maximum current has been exceeded so the
maximum Inrush current can be measured is 8A approximately.
