Deactivating the passenger's
front airbag
Onlythepassenger'sfrontairbagcanbe
deactivated.
F With the ignition off,insertthekeyinthe
passengerairbagdeactivationswitch.
F Turn it to the "OFF"position.
F Removethekeykeepingtheswitchinthe
newposition.
Whentheignitionison,thiswarning
lampcomesintheseatbeltand
passenger'sfrontairbagdisplay
screen.Itstaysonwhiletheairbagis
deactivated.
Toassurethesafetyofyourchild,
thepassenger'sfrontairbagmustbe
deactivatedwhenyouinstallarearward
facingchildseatonthefrontpassenger
seat.
Otherwise,thechildwouldriskbeing
seriouslyinjuredorkillediftheairbag
weredeployed.
Reactivating the passenger's
front airbag
Whenyouremovearearwardfacingchildseat,
with the ignition off, turn the switch to the
"ON"positiontoreactivatetheairbagandso
assurethesafetyofyourfrontpassengerinthe
eventofanimpact.
Whentheignitionisswitchedon,this
warninglampcomesonintheseat
beltandpassenger'sfrontairbag
displayscreen.Itstaysonwhilethe
frontairbagisactivated.
Operating fault
Illuminationofthiswarninglampin
theinstrumentpanelindicatesafault
withtheairbags.
ContactaCITROËNdealeroraqualified
workshopwithoutdelaytohavethesystem
checked.Theairbagsmaynolongerbe
deployedintheeventofaseriousimpact.
Inthiscase,donotinstallachildseatorseat
anadultonthefrontpassengerseat.
