F releasethebonnetusingtheinteriorlever,
thentheexteriorsafetycatch,
F raisethebonnetandsecureitwithitsstay,
F lift the plastic cover for access to the
(+)terminal.
Access to the battery
Procedureforstartingtheengineusinganotherbatteryorchargingadischargedbattery.
Before doing any work
Immobilisethevehicle:applythe
parkingbrake,putthegearboxin
neutral,thenswitchofftheignition.
Checkthatallelectricalequipmentis
switchedoff.
The presence of this label, in particular
withtheStop&Startsystem,indicates
theuseofa12Vlead-acidbatterywith
specialtechnologyandspecification;
theinvolvementofaCITROËNdealer
oraqualifiedworkshopisessential
whenreplacingordisconnectingthe
battery.
Afterrefittingthebattery,theStop&Start
systemwillonlybeactiveaftera
continuousperiodofimmobilisationofthe
vehicle,aperiodwhichdependsonthe
climaticconditionsandthestateofcharge
ofthebattery(uptoabout8hours).
Do not push the vehicle to start the
engineifyouhaveanETGelectronic
gearbox.
