1.The cuff is tied up too tight or too loose
2.The cuff has air leakage or is defective, replace it
3. The NIBP tubing has air leakage, replace it
Possible causes of the symptoms:
● Failure to inflate for NIBP cuff
■ Check if the cuff’s gears are made correctly, which are split into adults/child/newborn. While
measuring the blood pressure of an adult, the cuff’s gears must be adjusted to the adult gear,
otherwise the cuff will not be inflated or the pressure will be low.
■ Check if the tubing is inserted; if not, only 1 to 3 mmHg is displayed.
■ Check that the cuff is not compressed because if it is, it rapidly inflates, climb to more than 200
mmHg, fall off, etc.
■ If there is a large air leakage in the module or cuff, the displayed value appears to be very small.
● Unstable measurement value
■ Continuous measurements for too long may stop the blood’s circulation, take measurements at least
every five minutes.
■ The cuff is tied up too tight. Make sure you can squeeze two or three fingers in.
■ A little amount of air leakage may exist in the cuff; this could make the measurement less accurate.
■ Due to possible foreign objects in the NIBP module air tubes, the inflating and deflating is not
smooth, which affects the accuracy of the value (some instruments lack dust-proof socket design,
and prolonged use in dusty environments can easily allow dust to enter the NIBP tubing’s interior
and clog or cause it to become unreliable).
■ Parameter board is defective.
