Waveform: A graphic representation of the shape of a sound
wave. The waveform determines some of the physical
characteristics of the sound.
Word: Number of bits treated as a single unit by the CPU. ln an
eight-bit machine, the word length is eight bits; in a 16-bit
machine, the word length is 16 bits.
