Diagnostics Utility
When you select Diagnostics and Utilities from the System Configuration
Utility main menu, the utility prompts you to test, inspect, upgrade, and
diagnose the server.
Diagnostics and Utilities are located on the system partition on the hard drive
and must be accessed when a system configuration error is detected during the
Power-On Self-Test (POST).
The following options are available from the Diagnostics and Utilities menu:
Test Computer
Inspect Computer
Upgrade Firmware
Remote Utilities
Diagnose Drive Array
Running Diagnostics
There are two ways to access the utilities:
From the System Partition.
From diskette. A diskette can be created from the SmartStart and
Support Software CD.
Accessing the utilities from the system partition:
1. Reboot the server by pressing the Ctrl+Alt+Delete keys.
2. Press F10 when the following prompt appears at the top of the screen
during POST.
Press "F10" for System Partition Utilities
