5.1 Troubleshooting
This table indicates the fault finding procedures according to the type of defect
encountered.
Type of fault Possible causes Actions
The instrument does not
turn on even thug the
batteries are charged
The internal recoverable fuse,
connected in seried to the batteries,
has been triggered (e.g. a different
battery charger has been used
and/or the instrument has been
dropped, etc.)
•
Turn OFF the isntrument via
the its switch
• Connect the instrument to its
battery charger (the ine
supplied with the instrument)
• Disconnect the battery charger
• Turn ON the instrument via its
switch.
The maximum duration
of the battery charge
decreases dramatically
Exceeded the maximum number of
battery recharge cycles or defective
batteries
Contact CONTROLS service
department.
