3.2.2.1 CONVERSION CURVE menu
In this section you can select the conversion curve PORTLAND for the calculation of the
estimate of compressive strength from the rebound index or create up to 6 customizable
curves.
The conversion curve PORTLAND refers to concrete made with Portland cement, sand
and aggregates of good quality. Age of concrete 14 to 56 days. Smooth and dry surfaces.

Pressing the ENTER key, you can view the coefficients used to determine the conversion
curve PORTLAND already saved in the instrument.
The relationship used to determine the estimate of resistance to compression is the
following:
where:
• R
c
is the estimated value for compressive strength
• I is the measured rebound index
• A, B, C and D are set coefficients (these coefficients for the PORTLAND curve
cannot be modified).
Up to 6 fully customizable curves are available:
• 4 curves (called USER 1-4) that are based on the third degree polonomial, where it is
possible to set the coefficients A, B, C and D.
