Usetheforklowerasajackhammer.Pullit
sharplyawayfromtheforkupperwhileholding
theforkupper.
Repeatthismotionseveraltimestogetthefork
loweroutoftheforkupper.
Afteryouhaveseparatedthe
forklowerfromthe
forkupper,itwilllooklikethis.
Notethattherearetwocircularflatclipsaround
thediameteroftheforklower.Theseare
bushings.
Eachbushinghasaslitinittoallowexpandingthe
bushingsothatitcanberemovedfromthefork
lower.Theredarrowpointstotheslitintheupper
bushing.It’sbarelyvisibleanditisafineslit.
Theupperbushing(theblackone)restsinanannulargroovemachinedintotheforklower.Expandthis
bushingdiametricallytogetitofftheforklower.Usea
fine‐bladedscrewdrivertostarttheexpansion
process,andtheninsertalargerscrewdriver.Removethebushingfromtheforklowermachined
annulargrooveandtakeifofftheforklower.Takecarenottoscratchtheforklowerorover‐expandthe
bushing.
Afterremovingtheupp erclamp,
slidethelowerclampoff.Atthispoint,theforklowerwilllooklikethe
photosbelow.
