The device must be installed in accordance with the approved national electrical
codes.
If the device is used in a manner not specified by the manufacturer, protection from
electric shock, fire, etc. provided by this equipment may be
compromised.
When the device is in operation, hazardous voltages will be present in certain parts of
the equipment. Failure to observe warning notices, incorrect use, or improper use may
endanger personnel and the device may cause personal injury or physical damage.
The terminals exposed during installation, commissioning and maintenance may
present a hazardous voltage. Failure to properly earth the device will compromise the
correct functioning of the internal protection circuitry and may create a risk of electric
shock, injury or death.
Standard safety precautions must be followed while performing both the installation
and service work. The user must inspect the device and all accessories before use;
special attention must be given to the following:
• Damage to the device and accessories that might compromise personal
safety or risk to the installation.
• The operational rating of the input terminals
Do not expose the device to abnormal environmental conditions exceeding the
requirements for IP52.
The digital outputs are not intended for use within primary protection circuits.
Vecto III is intended for indoor installation and use only. If it is required for use in
an outdoor environment, then it must be mounted in a specific cabinet or housing
which will enable it to meet the requirements of IEC 60529 with the classification
of degree of protection IP52.
Do not use the device in situations where failure of the device can cause injury,
death, or cause sufficient energy to be released that may start a fire.
