The internal LiFePO

battery powers the device in the absence of power. This battery
guarantees 2,000 charge/discharge cycles. If cycled once per day, it translates to at
least a 5-year useful life.

2.3.4 Communication
Two (2) Gigabyte Ethernet ports facilitate local and networked external
communication. One port is used to interface with corporate networks (DHCP or fixed
IP support). The second Ethernet port is used to create a local network by means of
being a local DHCP server. Please refer to Section 2.4.10 for more detail.
The Vecto III supports WIFI communication. Please refer to Section 2.4.12 for more
detail. The Vecto III has an optional built-in cellular modem. Please refer to Section
2.4.13 for more information.
The remote support software supports automatic service discovery protocols. Laptops,
when connected to the Vecto III, will receive an IP from the device. The remote support
software can automatically discover which devices are connected to the local network.

2.3.5 Built-in HMI (Web Interface)
The Vecto III provides the user with a human-machine interface in the form of a built-
in secure web application. Via this interface the Vecto III can be configured, inspected,
and downloaded.
2.3.6 Osprey Pro (Enterprise Support)
When connected, each device automatically establishes a permanent secure
communication link to a corporate server (local or internet based). An device
management system (IMS) keeps track of each device’s location, configuration, health
(telemetry) and PQ data recorded.
Downloading of data is automated and recorded data can be accessed via the Internet
in graphical, tabled and report form as and when it becomes available. Raw data can
be analysed in Osprey Lite
TM
or exported for further analysis in for example Microsoft
Excel
TM
or Matlab
TM
.

simplify the analysis of waveform events such as dips and swells by the
time-aggregation of multiple waveform events to single network incidents.
