4. Insert the key into the key switch
and turn it to the "ON" position.
7. When the engine is started, re

lease the key. The key switch is
automatically returned to the "ON"
position.
8. After the engine is started, let the
engine run for approx. 3 to 4 min-
utes (10 minutes in cold weath-
er) to warm up the engine. (Refer
to "Warming up" page 5-10 for de-
tails)
Never operate the start mo-
tor for 10 consecutive seconds
as it consumes a lot of battery
power. If the engine cannot be
started within 10 seconds, wait
for 30 seconds and try again.
When trying to start the engine
again, make sure that the fly-
wheel is stopped in advance.
Do not turn the key switch to
the "START" position while the
engine is running.

Oil pressure warning lamp
Glow plug indicator (9 sec.)

cator goes off.
