OPERATION

The engine can be severely
damaged if it is run with the oil
pressure warning lamp ON.
WARNING
CHECKING WARNING LAMPS AFTER STARTING ENGINE
2. If the charge warning lamp does
not go off in 4 to 5 seconds after
the engine is properly started, it
means that the battery is not being
properly charged. Have the charg-
ing system, such as the battery
and alternator, serviced.
3. Refer to "Instrument panel" in
chapter 4 for detailed information
about other indicators and lamps.
1. If the oil pressure warning lamp
does not go off in 4 to 5 seconds
after the engine is properly start-
ed, stop the engine immediate-
ly and check the engine oil level.
If the engine oil level is within safe
operating limits, contact your local
Dealer.
9. Check to see that all the warning
lamps on the instrument cluster
turn "OFF". If any lamp remains
ON, immediately stop the engine,
and contact your local dealer for
assistance.
It is not recommended to oper
-
ate the vehicle full speed or ex-
cessive load when new. Doing so
can harm the overall service life
of the vehicle.
Break in the vehicle by driving
with light work loads or at a maxi-
mum of 3/4 throttle for the rst 20
hours.
IMPORTANT
Driving the vehicle for an ex-
tended period of time with the
charge warning lamp ON, the
battery can be discharged and
the vehicle's electrical system
can be damaged.
