Mechanical Installation
CAUTION
Pay attention to the requirements that apply to
integration and field mounting kit. Observe the
information in the list to avoid serious injury or
equipment damage, especially when installing large
units.
WARNING
The frequency converter is cooled with air circulation.
For the unit to be able to release its cooling air, the
minimum free distance above and below the unit must
be 100 mm at minimum. To protect the unit from
overheating, ensure that the ambient temperature does
not rise above the maximum temperature stated for the
frequency converter and that the 24-hour average
temperature is not exceeded. Check the maximum
temperature and 24-hour average in chapter 5.3 General
Technical Data. If the ambient temperature is in the
range of 45 °C - 55 °C, derating of the frequency
converter is to be carried out. See chapter 5.1.8 Derating
for Ambient Temperature. The service life of the
frequency converter may be reduced if no allowance is
made for the derating for ambient temperature.
Integration
All units with enclosure IP20 must be integrated in
cabinets and panels. IP20 is not suitable for remote
mounting. In some countries, e.g. in the USA, units with
enclosure NEMA 1 are approved for remote mounting.
Spacing
All units require a minimum of 100 mm air between other
components and vents of the enclosure.
