Ground the drive in accordance with applicable standards and directives.
Use a dedicated ground wire for input power, motor power, and control wiring.
Do not ground 1 drive to another in a daisy-chain fashion.
Keep the ground wire connections as short as possible.
Follow the wiring requirements from the motor manufacturer.
For EMC-compliant installation
Establish electrical contact between cable shield and drive enclosure by using metal grommets or by using the clamps provided
on the equipment.
Use high-strand wire to reduce burst transient.
Do not use pigtails.
Overcurrent protection:
Extra protection equipment such as short-circuit protection or motor thermal protection between drive and motor are required
for applications with multiple motors.
Input fusing is required to provide short circuit and overcurrent protection. If fuses are not factory-supplied, the installer must
provide them. See maximum fuse ratings in and .
Wire type and ratings:
All wiring must comply with local and national regulations regarding cross-section and ambient temperature requirements.
Power connection wire recommendation: Minimum 75 °C (167 °F) rated copper wire.
