Upgrade Procedure
Step 8:
Remove Lower
Drive Mounting
Panel
The lower drive mounting panel can contain RZ23 disk drives,
RX23 disk drives, a TZ30 tape drive, an RRD42 CD ROM, or a
TZK10 tape drive. To remove the lower drive mounting panel:
1. Disconnect the SCSI cable and the power cable connected to
the drives.
2. Remove the two screws securing the cover plate to the lower
drive mounting panel. Remove the two screws securing the
cover plate to the back panel of the system unit. Remove the
cover plate.

3. Loosen the four captive screws on the lower drive mounting
panel. Two are located near the back panel. Two are located
near the power supply. Loosen the three screws on the right
side of the panel. Slide the panel forward and away from the
system unit.
