Why is there no sound from surround back speaker on my Denon AVR-A100 Receiver?

  If you're not getting any sound from the surround back speaker of your Denon Receiver, check that “Amp Assign” is set correctly to output audio from those speakers. Also, in the menu, ensure “Speaker Config.” – “Surround Back” is not set to “None”, and “Surround Parameters” – “Surround Back” is not set to “OFF”. Finally, make sure the surround mode isn't set to “STEREO”.

  If your Denon Receiver isn't powering on, ensure the power plug is correctly inserted into the outlet. If that doesn't work, the protection circuit may be active. Disconnect the power plug, wait 5 to 10 seconds, and then reinsert it.

  A blinking red power indicator, with intervals of approximately 0.5 seconds, suggests there may be an issue with the speakers. Ensure you are using speakers with the specified impedance. Also, check the speaker cable for shorts (touching wires). If a short exists, firmly twist the core wire in the speaker cable and reconnect it to the speaker terminal.

Why is there no sound from subwoofer on my Denon AVR-A100 Receiver?

  If you're not getting any sound from the subwoofer connected to your Denon Receiver, first check the subwoofer connections and ensure the subwoofer is powered on. Then, in the menu, set “Speaker Config.” – “Subwoofer” to either “1spkr” or “2spkrs”. Also, if “Front” and “Center” for “Speaker Config.” are set to “Large” and “Subwoofer Mode” is set to “LFE”, no sound may be output depending on the input signal or selected surround mode.
