11. Absorbance Kinetics App
The Kinetics application is a cuvette mode only application available for the
DS-11+ and DS-11 FX+ models.
Quick Protocol
1. Launch the app from the Home screen.
2. Use the Create Method button on the Run screen to define the parameters
of the method.
• The button will change to a drop-down menu after at least one method has
been defined. Use the List Add/Edit button to the right of the drop-down
to define additional new methods or edit previously saved methods.
3. Navigate to the Run screen and tap the Heater button to preheat the cuvette
block to the selected temperature.
4. When the Heater temperature field displays the set temperature, insert the
cuvette and establish a Blank using the appropriate buffer.
5. Insert the cuvette with the sample solution and tap the Measure button.
Notes:
•Use cuvettes with Z heights of 8.5 mm. Use the light path arrow as a guide when
inserting a cuvette into the cuvette block.
•Use a quartz or UV transparent plastic cuvette when using methods that include the
UV wavelength range.
