6.3 Connecting the machine
DANGER
RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK
The electrical machine data must match the data of the mains
supply. The connecting cable and plug must be in perfect con-
dition.
When disconnecting the power connection, hold onto the
plug, not the cable, and pull it out of the socket.
The machine may only be connected to sockets with protec-
tive earthing.
Connect the machine only when it is switched off.
WARNING
RISK OF INJURY DUE TO CARELESS SWITCHING ON
If the machine is plugged in when the mains switch is set to “1”,
it will start uncontrollably.
Before plugging in the mains plug make sure that the switch
is set to “0”.
1. Insert the mains plug.
2. Switch on the machine and test run it for one minute. In case of unusual
behaviour, switch off the machine immediately and check all individual
parts for proper condition and assembly.
3. Check the direction of rotation of the grinding wheels. The direction of
rotation must correspond to the two marking arrows on the housing
above the grinding wheels.
WARNING
RISK OF INJURY FROM KNIVES STRIKING BACK
In case of wrong direction of rotation, risk of accident due to
knives striking back.
Immediately switch off the machine and send it to the man-
ufacturer or supplier for inspection.
