4.1 Meaning of the warnings
4.1.1 Identication of risks of injury
In these operating instructions, signal words such as DANGER, WARNING or
CAUTION indicate the gradation of a possible risk of injury.
DANGER
indicates an imminently hazardous situation which, if not
avoided, will result in death or serious injury.
WARNING
indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if not
avoided, may result in death or serious injury.
CAUTION
indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if not
avoided, may result in minor or slight injury.
4.1.2 Identication of property damage
IMPORTANT
indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if not
avoided, may result in property damage.
4.1.3 Identication of additional information
NOTE
provides additional information and helpful tips for the safe
andefcientuseofthedevice.
4.1.4 Symbols for the safety instructions
Important or particularly useful information is highlighted using symbols so
that it is readily recognised:
WARNING – Indicates a warning, which must always be noted
and followed.
INSTRUCTION – Indicates instructions, which must be complied
with for safety reasons.
NOTE, TIP – Indicates general information containing user tips
and useful information.
Electric shock – warns of an electric shock that may cause seri-
ous injury or even death.
