CAUTION
BURNS FROM HOT BLADES. THE BLADE MAY
BECOME HOT DURING POLISHING.
If necessary, let the blade cool down during the polishing pro-
cess.
NOTE
Knife blades that have not been cleaned contaminate the felt
polishing wheel.
➾ Before polishing, carefully clean the knife blade.
1. Position the knife on the machine so that the blade cutting edge points in
the direction of rotation of the polishing wheel [13-1].

2. Apply polishing paste on the running polishing wheel.
3. Clean the knife before polishing.
➾ The blade must be dry for polishing.
4. Position the knife slanted relative to the running direction.
➾ Position the knife at the polishing wheel at a more obtuse angle than
for grinding.
