CAUTION
BURNS FROM HOT BLADES. THE BLADE MAY
BECOME HOT DURING POLISHING.
If necessary, let the blade cool down during the polishing pro-
cess.
NOTE
Knife blades that have not been cleaned contaminate the felt
polishing wheel.
Before polishing, carefully clean the knife blade.
1. Position the knife on the machine so that the blade cutting edge points in
the direction of rotation of the polishing wheel [13-1].

2. Apply polishing paste on the running polishing wheel.
3. Clean the knife before polishing.
The blade must be dry for polishing.
4. Position the knife slanted relative to the running direction.
Position the knife at the polishing wheel at a more obtuse angle than
for grinding.
