  If external reversing devices cannot be made operable, immediately remove the DKS Controller from service. Continuing to use the controller with a malfunctioning reversing system creates a hazard that can result in serious injury or death if someone becomes entrapped in the gate. Do not place this operator in service until the malfunction can be identified and corrected.

  If your DKS Gate Opener opens but won't close, check the following: * Input LEDs: Any that are ON indicate a problem with a keying device. * Secondary safety devices: Any that are activated will hold the gate open, indicating a problem with the safety device. * Loop detectors: Any that are activated can hold the gate open, indicating a problem with the loop detector or ground loop. The operator may also be in a 'soft shutdown' state. Try activating any keying device to see if the operator returns to normal operation. If you want automatic closing, make sure switch 4 on SW1 is ON.

  If your DKS Gate Opener closes but will not open, consider the following: * The operator may be in a 'soft shutdown'. Check the input LEDs. If any are ON, momentarily disconnect, then reconnect the wire going to the input terminal. The actuator should open. * Ensure the actuator is running in the proper direction. Turn the power OFF, disconnect the batteries, and then turn it back ON. Activate a keying device; the actuator should run in the open direction. If it runs in the close direction, turn the power OFF and change the direction switch SW1, switches 1 and/or 2. Retest and reconnect the batteries. * Confirm that the respective LED on the control board lights when the keying device connected to the respective terminal is activated. If the LED does not light, momentarily place a j...
