  If the loop detector LED is continuously illuminated, try the following: * Activate the reset switch on the loop detector. * Decrease the loop detector sensitivity. * Check the loop wire for resistance to ground with a meg-ohm meter, ensuring it reads 100 meg-ohms or higher. Replace the loop wire if it's less than 50 meg-ohms. * Ensure the loop lead-in wire is twisted at least six turns per foot. * Solder all loop connections. * If the issue persists, consider replacing the loop detector.

  If your DKS Gate Opener arm rotates up but not down, consider the following: * Check the LEDs on terminals 6, 7, and 9. If any are on, it indicates a shorted input holding the arm up. * Examine the LEDs on the loop detectors. If any are on, a loop or loop detector problem might be holding the arm up. * If the auto timer isn't used (SW1, switch 7 off), ensure SW1, switch 6 is on to activate terminal 6 for downward rotation. * Verify that SW1, switch 4 is on, so that terminal 8 activation and deactivation will rotate the arm down.

  If the DKS Gate Opener operator won't run, but the power LED on the control board is on: * Momentarily jumper terminal 6 to terminal 14. If the input LED doesn't illuminate, check the terminal strip or replace the control board. * Momentarily jumper terminal 2 to terminal 3 (Caution – High Voltage). The motor should run. * Momentarily jumper terminal 2 to terminal 4 (Caution – High Voltage). The motor should run in the opposite direction. * If the motor doesn't run in either or both steps, there may be an issue with the motor, motor capacitor, or wiring to the motor.
