9.1.14. Exhaust manifold

Release the exhaust manifold fixing
bolts, disassemble the exhaust manifold,
then remove the heat shield and gasket.
NOTE : Make sure to release the nuts
one after another because the
exhaust manifold will be
removed if you unscrew two
nuts simultaneously.
9.1.15. Thermostat
¥
Remove the by-pass pipe connected to
the water pump, unscrew the thermostat
fixing bolts, then disassemble the ther-
mostat housing.
¥
Disassemble the thermostat housing and
remove the thermostat.
¥
Disassemble the water pipe by unscrew-
ing the bolts and nuts installed on the
cylinder head.
9.1.16. Starter
¥
Unscrew the starter fixing bolts, then dis-
assemble the starter.
