7.3 - Discharge pipe connection
The correct completion of the discharge pipe path is particularly important for good pump operation.
Fixing must also be thorough, especially when the pipe is subjected to strong pressure.
For this reason, we will list some recommendations that the installer should comply with in order to
achieve an efficient system.
• The path of the pipe must be as linear as possible and supported independently, avoiding that any
expansion caused by heat sources have an effect on the pump head.
• We recommend always providing one or more Tee fittings after the discharge flange that can be
used to install pressure gauges, pressure relief valves, pulsation dampeners.
• Always provide a safety relief valve and a bleed valve on the discharge circuit in order to protect
the plant, facilitate maintenance and the start-up of the pump.
• The installation of a damper diaphragm is strongly recommended, in particular for high flow rate
and pressure applications

7.4 - Leak recovery
Provide an adequate system to recover any drops or leaks by means of a suitable conveying pipe to be
able to drain the liquid out of the potentially explosive atmosphere without danger.
Use the pipe holder of the cover placed under the pump head support lantern, where provided, to
facilitate the connection and removal of any leaks due to gasket wear.
