4 Start-Up
4.1 Initial Checkout
Verify the following items have been completed correctly and the installation meets the
necessary local, state, and federal regulations as specified in Section 2.1.
The dispenser is securely anchored to the fueling island.
Bollards are installed around the dispenser to prevent a vehicle collision with the
dispenser.
All conduit is rigid metal and is securely fastened. Do not seal the conduit until the wiring
has been verified through proper operation.
All wires are correctly routed and terminated, and the dispenser is properly grounded.
Refer to the safety precautions in Section 2.2.
All junction box covers are securely fastened with all of the supplied bolts and unused
openings are properly plugged.
The dispenser is equipped with the proper options and accessories to meet the
application and satisfy local, state, and federal regulations. Refer to Section 6.2 regarding
filter requirements.
The hose and hose accessories are securely connected to the dispenser and have been
checked for continuity.
All water has been removed from the tank and the tank has a sufficient amount of fuel for
testing.
If the dispenser is equipped with the iXFleet option, the sheet metal protection cover must
be reinstalled over the terminal block after the field wiring is completed.
NOTE: Do not use the Select S1 dispenser to remove water from the tank. It will harm the
dispenser components.
To prevent damage to the components located in the hydraulic cabinet, dispenser doors should
be closed during rainy and/or icy weather conditions.
