Fault – Cause – Remedy
9 Fault – Cause – Remedy
Errors indicated by the analyzer
Faults or errors, their possible causes and how to remedy them are listed below in alphabetical
order. Repeat the measurement after remedying the fault or error or call DrägerService, see fax
form on page 65.
Message Cause Remedy
Signal error Moisture has condensed
inside the analyzer.
Switch off analyzer: move sliding
switch to position 0, remove chip.
Wait approx. 5 minutes for
temperature balance to be
established, then repeat
measurement.
Chip is dirty. Switch off analyzer: move sliding
switch to position 0, remove chip.
Wipe chip with a dry cloth or insert
a new chip. Repeat the
measurement.
Fault in electronics/optical
system.
Switch off analyzer:
move sliding switch to position 0,
wait at least 1 minute then switch
on again. Call DrägerService if the
fault cannot be remedied in this
way.
“Display frozen” Internal fault, ESD,
electrostatic discharge
Switch off analyzer:
move sliding switch to position 0,
wait at least 1 minute then switch
on again.
Call DrägerService if the fault
cannot be remedied in this way.
Barcode error
Chip too fast
Chip too slow
Chip unevenly
Remove chip 0

Barcode on chip cannot be
read.
Eject chip: move sliding switch to
position 0.
Check condition of chip and clean if
necessary: wipe chip with a dry
cloth.
Move sliding switch to position 1,
insert chip evenly.
Battery empty Batteries are completely
exhausted, measurement is
no longer possible.
Change batteries, page 40.
Chip error
Remove 0

Chip type cannot be
processed.
Eject chip: move sliding switch to
position 0 and repeat
measurement.
