Additional connection options are provided in the "variable area".
The functions and pin assignments are dierent depending on the EM variant.
The extension modules EMX/Y are plug-in printed circuit boards.
For the conguration the EM1/1 is the minimum requirement.
Old extension modules have a slot for display connection and a slot for PC/laptop connection via VisionBox for
system conguration.
