2-1. Preparing the side guide unit
Prepare the “side guide unit” by attaching the joint bracket to the side of each side guide.
The combination of the side guide and the joint bracket will vary depending on a paper size and the type of
binding. Refer to the “Parts combination according paper size and binding mode.“

Taking the illustrations of the side guide (L) and the joint bracket (L) as an example, the following procedures
show how to remove and attach the parts.
Removing the joint bracket from the side guide
The side guide and the joint bracket is shipped as a side guide unit. To assemble a side guide unit according
to the paper size used and the type of binding, rst disassemble the unit according to the procedures below.

Loosen the knob screws (2) of the side
guide B.

Remove the side guide B from the joint
bracket.
