6. Press the button.
The flap clamp opens.
7. Press the button.
The needles are switched on.
8. Use the handwheel to turn the needles downward with the direction of
rotation until they are approx. 2 mm above the sewing material.

9. Insert the template (1) (straight pocket) such that line (4) points to the
left needle and is parallel to the right transport clamp.
10. Press the button.
The flap clamp closes.
11. Fix the erect template (1) on the left in place on the clamp using a strip
of adhesive tape (3).
12. Press the button.
The needles are switched off.
13. Use the handwheel to turn the needles to the top dead center against
the direction of rotation.
14. Press the button.
The template (1) is scanned.
The display shows the scanned parameters. The scanned parame-
ters are automatically adopted by the control.
15. Press the button.
The flap clamp opens.
16. Remove the template (1).
