3.10.5 Setting the middle knife

Proper setting
When at the bottom dead center, the front edge (2) of the middle knife (1) 
must jut out approx. 1 mm above the cutting edge of the stationary knife 
in the throat plate.
The middle knife (1) must abut on the stationary knife in the throat plate 
and exert a slight pressure.
To set the middle knife to parallel position:
1. Turn the middle knife (1) with the eccentric on the drive motor to the 
bottom dead center.
2. Loosen the screw (4).
3. Turn the middle knife drive rod (5).
 The middle knife is in parallel / slight cutting position in relation to the 
knife in the throat plate.
4. Tighten the screw (4).
WARNING
Risk of injury from moving parts!
Crushing possible.
Only set the middle knife when the sewing unit is 
switched off.
