3.7 Assembling the crank pin at the arm shaft
The distance between the eccentric crank pin to the arm shaft determines 
the extent of the needle bar stroke and, thus, the top dead center of the 
needle bars (mandated by the design of the machine).
The crank pin has been set precisely by the manufacturer. It needs to be 
re-adjusted after the thread lever has been replaced or if the needles no 
longer switch off properly.
Important
The crank pin is re-adjusted with the help of a gage (part number 
0246 002591). The adjustment does not require that crank and arm 
shaft be removed.
WARNING

Puncture or crushing possible.
Do not adjust the crank pin unless the main switch 
is switched off.
