17 Maintenance
This chapter describes maintenance work that needs to be carried out on 
a regular basis to extend the service life of the machine and achieve the 
desired seam quality.
Maintenance interval
WARNING
Risk of injury from sharp parts!
Punctures and cutting possible.
Prior to any maintenance work, switch off the 
machine or set the machine to threading mode.

Crushing possible.

Machine head
Remove fluff, lint and thread remnants 
Check the oil level 
Check the hook lubrication 
Check the lenses for the remaining thread monitor 
Clean the reflecting foils 
Pneumatic system
Check the water level in the pressure controller 
Check the filter element in the maintenance unit 
Check the tightness of the system 
Drive unit and transport carriage
Check state and tension of the toothed belts 
Additional equipment
Clean (blow out) the automatic piping slitting device
