End Play Adjustment
3. Install the special tool EEA-17405 to be used as a
support for the dial indicator magnetic base, and secure
it on the transmission using one hole and one bolt on
the clutch actuator ange, as shown.
2. Place the special tool EEA-17403 on the countershaft
4th speed gear with the three magnets facing down,
positioning the device so that the projecting tab stay out
of the PTO opening, as shown in the gure. The device
should be secured magnetically to the gear.
4. Support the dial indicator magnetic base on the special
tool EEA-17405 and position the dial indicator tip on the
tip pad of the special tool EEA-17403 installed on the
countershaft 4th speed gear, as shown in the gure.
5. With a preload, set the dial indicator needle to zero.
