The Electro-Hydraulic Control Unit provides the automation of gear shifting to the mechanical box, which is
managed by an electronic unit (TCU - Transmission Control Unit).
The electro-hydraulic control unit used on the EA(B)O-6X06 transmission is of LSC (Linear Selection Control) type.
The LSC system consists of two shafts and a spring.
The selection piston has four possible positions and is controlled by an electrovalve (solenoid valve) and a spring:
• Position 1 - 5th, 6th gear and neutral/rest position;
• Position 2 - 3rd and 4th gear;
• Position 3 - 1st and 2nd gear;
• Position 4 - Reverse gear.
