The shift piston has three possible positions and is controlled by two solenoid valves:
• Position 1 - Rest/neutral position;
• Position 2 - Engagement of even gears;
• Position 3 - Engagement of odd gears.
Characteristics and Operation
The components of the electro-hydraulic control unit, although they are all mounted on a single base, can be
grouped together into two distinct subassemblies:
• Power Group;
• Actuator Group.
