User manual SEFELEC 5x Series 23 v1.06
Dielectric strength, 500 VA
At current threshold IMAX
Adjustable amplitude of from
0.01 mA to 110 mA in steps of 0.01 mA.
The device continuously measures the current flowing in the sample under test and compares it
according to two possibilities:
The high threshold > 0.01 mA; the low thresh-
old is fixed at 0.00 mA
If the measured current is greater than or equal
to the threshold, the test is declared NG: Cir-
cuit break; if the current is < high threshold the
test is declared PASS
The low threshold > 0.01 mA and the high
threshold is > low threshold
If the current measured is inside of the range
defined by the thresholds, the test is PASS, if it
is outside the test is declared FAIL: Circuit
break
Min. current limit IMIN
In the sensing modes above, it is possible to specify a minimum value of current flowing in the
sample under test. The value of IMIN is adjustable from 0.0 mA to 109 mA. The use of IMIN en-
sures that the test sample is correctly connected to the device
Without sensing
In this case no current monitoring is performed.
There is no adjustment of the output voltage in relation to the load
Warning: Permanent use of the device on a low-impedance charge can result
in overheating of the amplification stage, with consequent stoppage of the
generator for safety reasons.
Measurement of the permanent current
The current reading is obtained through a shunt located directly in the test circuit
Resolution
11,000 points
Accuracy
0.01 mA to 110.00 mA AC
±(2.5% + 20 µA)
0.01 mA to 110.00 mA DC
±(2.5% + 20 µA)
The message 'POWER CURRENT' as well as the "value" '- - - - mA' are displayed on the LCD
screen when the current exceeds 110 mA AC or DC.
The AC
current displayed is the real RMS current. I.e. it is calculated according to the formula:
