1.4.3 USBL Responder Beacon
An ultra-short baseline (USBL) beacon provides underwater acoustic positioning of the 2050-DSS Towfish.

1.4.4 Pressure Sensor
A stainless-steel pressure sensor is installed in the towfish to provide towfish depth data. This pressure
sensor is designed for continuous use in a corrosive liquid environment and is available in a 3000-psi
pressure range.
1.4.5 SBG AHRS
The SBG AHRS (Attitude and Heading Reference System) option offers a light-weight sensor (45 grams)
that includes: a MEMS-based Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) that integrates three gyroscopes, three
magnetometers, and three accelerometers and an Ellipse-AHRS running an extended Kalman filter (EKF)
that provides accurate orientation data in both static and dynamic conditions. See the SBG

section of this manual for more details on this altitude and heading reference system.
