2.4.5 Controller c
onguraon (serial conguraon)
All conguraon sengs stored in the motor controller are kept when the power to the
pump is removed so that it is possible to use another system to congure the motor
controller before the installaon of the pump at the applicaon. You can congure the
operaon of the pump as per the applicaon and the pump can be operated using a
simple parallel interface system.
To congure the pump, use a customer simple serial system or use the
manufacturer's TIC Turbo Controller or Turbo Instrument Controller. The TICs allows the
storage of a pump's conguraon. You can download the conguraon to another
pump. This is useful when you congure a number of pumps with the same sengs
before they are installed at a system.
Note:
The R
S485 / RS232 slide switch must be in the RS232 (default) posion if the TIC is to be
used to congure the pump. Refer to Connect the serial interface to the customer control
equipment on page 41.
The TIC is supplied with a Windows
TM
based PC program which allows the pump to be
congured from a single PC. The program has a simple user interface and it is not
necessary to use the ASCII message protocol given in Connecon for serial control and
monitoring on page 41. The TIC PC program can save number of pump conguraons
which can be downloaded to the other pumps.
